MA1/779-3 (Mid-Position) 28mm 3 port

Drayton motorised valves now feature removable actuators which simplify installation and future servicing.

No tools are required to fit the actuator to the body as it simply clicks into place.

To remove just press the release button and lift the actuator from the body.

You will need to replace the complete valve as your one pre-dates the replaceable actuator.

I have an old, 20years, ACL Lifestyle mid-position valve on my system that seem to be turning on the boiler for HW, even when both the HW and CH are turned off. Will the new replacement have the same colour coded wiring. My unit is a 779H340 30L0. Answers1

You will need to check which wires are live when it should be mid-position.

I'm afraid the actuators are no longer available for the Flowshare 2. A complete valve change will be needed.

I'm afraid not. All you can replace is the synchronous motor inside.

I have just changed an old Drayton ACL Lifestyle 779H340-30L0 as the micro switches sometimes did not make for heating, to the latest one with the snap on head on 13th December 2019. The old valve gave me no problems for years when changing over from hot water to heating and vice versa. The new one makes a really load bang on the system, only when changing from heating to hot water. No other items on the system have been changed or altered. Hope you can advise on a solution. This usually happens when the pump speed is set too high. Try turning the pump down.

There is a button on the side of the actuator to press to release it from the valve.
