This device is an over-temperature thermostat suitable for the control of the supply water temperature for a underfloor heating manifold. Switching off the secondary circulating pump when the flow rail goes over the set temperature (e.g. when the mixing valve fails). Bulb should be positioned by placing it under the rubber grip on the metal brackets in contact with flow rail.
The device fulfils The Domestic Building Compliance Guide 2013 recommendation for an independent device which cuts off the heat supply to the floor heating in the event of the maximum flow temperature being exceeded, in line with BS EN 1264-4:2009.
The sensor supplied with the over temperature device can be extended up to 25m if necessary.
The thermostat must be manually reset to switch back on after temperature drop, alerting the home owner to the system failure.
