The removable jumper under the backplate switches the programmer between gravity and pumped systems.

It sounds like you have the obsolete C27B. This will not be suitable to replace it. You will have to wire up a compatible control externally like the H27XL.

Yes it will. You will need to replace the backplate but terminal connections are the same.

Press the SET and CH buttons together to reset the unit. If this doesn't work, then it will need replacing.

It is just a timer, so needs a seperate thermostat.
