If you have 1 or more motorised valves on your system, then you need to choose a pumped option.
Gravity systems are very rare now.

Yes, the H/W is for Heating/Water - not Hot Water.
-
No wiring changes are needed at all.
Is the bright blue display meant to be on all the time? Also can the brightness be changed?

Hi. Yes, it would be a straight swap.

Hi
If you have one or more motorised valves, then it is a fully pumped system. Fully pumped has been standard now for 20 years.
-
Hi. It comes complete with a battery.
-
Yes it is. A simple swap.
-
It is under the flap to the left of the screen.
-
You will need to switch off the electric before swapping, but other than that is is a simple 5-minute plug-on job with no wiring needed.
-
No it does not.

Hi
There is a tray on the back of the unit. You will need a flat screwdriver or similar to pull out the tray.
